By downloading, installing, or using SaveExcess ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
SaveExcess is a surplus rescue platform operated by Njinju Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"). The App connects donors of surplus food, drinks, and other valuables with recipients to reduce waste in local communities.
You must be at least 13 years old to use SaveExcess. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this requirement.
You agree not to:
SaveExcess is a platform that facilitates sharing of surplus food and other valuables between community members. We do not inspect, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality, safety, condition, or fitness for use of any item listed on the App.
Donors are responsible for ensuring that anything they offer is safe, clearly described, and honestly represented — including any allergens for food items.
Recipients accept items entirely at their own risk. We strongly encourage recipients to exercise their own judgement regarding the suitability of any item before consuming or using it.
When posting a listing, you may choose to share your exact GPS coordinates or instead provide a safe pickup description (private location mode). In private location mode, your precise coordinates are never shown publicly — only your written pickup instructions are visible to the person who claims your listing.
If you choose to share your phone number with claimants for pickup coordination, your phone number is shown ONLY to the person who claims your listing, after they claim it. It is never shown publicly.
We use your device location solely to show nearby items and to tag your donations. We do not share precise coordinates with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
SaveExcess Pro is an auto-renewing subscription available via Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. You may choose Monthly ($2.99/month) or Yearly ($29.99/year — approximately 15% discount compared to the monthly equivalent).
All content in the App — including the SaveExcess name, logo, design, and code — is owned by Njinju Labs LLC and protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our written permission.
By posting content (listings, photos, descriptions) you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the App for the purpose of operating the service.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including loss arising from food or product safety incidents, missed claims, or data loss.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses a risk to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
